Collage

My work in collage and mixed media processes is as much about re-using and re-purposing things that I have as it is about making a piece of art.  I am, like so many people, inundated with magazines and junk mail that I feel the need to incorporate at least some of the piles of paper foisted on consumers to make something beautiful.  My hope is to diffuse the overtly annoying messages that are generated by companies who essentially say the same thing as the next guy and yet are only concerned with their own success. 

Tearing the paper from magazines and advertisements is therapeutic in and of itself. 


These pieces were taken from larger works so some simlarities exist between them.
